There are times in our life that everyone feels held back or should I say, we hold ourselves back from something. It might be in asking for a raise, asking someone out, starting a business, writing that book, or asking for what you need.
What really holds us back, is FEAR.
Marianne Williamson wrote:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Making that decision to stand in the greatest version of YOU for what it is you want and need can be both exciting and frightening. As Marianne states, “playing small does not serve the world”.
What if you decided.…I’m tired of playing small, hiding, not getting my needs met, not shining in my gifts and talents…
What if you decided to Claim your personal power , your truth, your worth today? What is it that you want to claim for you? And how would that feel if you made that decision to not hold back? How would that open up your life and your relationships?
When will you decide to be “powerful beyond measure”? The answer…when your desire is more powerful than your fear. You will have the fear, but you will go forward anyway because not doing this, will cause you more pain in deepest part of you. The highest part of you is waiting everyday for us to step into that amazing Self you are.
And it begins with just ONE STEP. That is the way…make it easy…one small step. Each step you take creates a momentum to keep moving forward.
The question? What one step will you take to claim the best version of you and claim your spot in living so fully and authentically?
